Ahoy Buccaneers: A pirate adventure awaits! The journey will last for the next 9 weeks as you pillage and plunder the high seas of the Internet. You will explore some of the best Web 2.0 Tools and activities on the web for classroom technology integration. Listed below are activities that you can do on the web to explore and expand your knowledge of the Internet and Web 2.0 tools.

BISD Librarians and Other Staff -- If finished by August 6^th you will receive 18 hours off-contract Professional Development credit.

It is an ALL or NOTHING program. If all blog entries are not finished by the due date you will not receive any credit for the program.)

Week 1 – Charting the Course What is it all about? (6/4/2010 – 6/10/2010)
1. Read this blog page to find out what is in store for you as your sail into the 21st Century on the SST.
2. Learn about 21st century skills and a new online tutorial during Week 1.

Week 2 – Blogging - (6/11/2010 – 6/17/2010)Set up your own blog, create a Viok or Avatar, register your blog and set sail during Week 2.

Week 3 – The Treasure Map (6/18/2010 – 6/24/2010)Google is more than just a search engine. You will find maps and other cool tools as you follow the clues within Google during Week 3.

Week 4 – The Spy Glass (6/25/2010 – 7/1/2010)As you navigate the seas what do you see? Animoto, Photostory, Discovery Streaming, Teacher tube, Audacity. The information out their for you to discover is astounding. Create your own and view those made by others in Week 4.

Week 5 – The Message in the Bottle – (72/2010 – 7/8/2010)Learn about Wikis. How to create them, manage them and what others are using them for during
Week 5.

Week 6 Classroom Aids (7/9/2010 – 7/15/2010)Take a look at some online classroom tools. From Math to literature you will find many things to incorporate into your classroom to sail into the 21st Century with your students in Week 6.

Week 7 Projects for the Classroom (7/16/2010 – 7/22/2010)Not quite ready to sail into the sunset? Take another look at Kid Pix Delux and a new site Read - Write - Think during Week 7.

Week 8 All Atomic (7/23/2010 – 7/29/2010)Ready to go Atomic? Now that you have dangled your feet in the 21st Century Seas, take the Atomic Learning Pretest and assess your skills to see what your next voyage will entail in Week 8.

Week 9 – Reflection (7/30/2010 – 8/6/2010)Gaze out onto the horizon and give us your thoughts on the journey you have taken through these 21st Century skills in Week 9.
